The Scottish Mountaineering Club produce a series of definitive guides covering all of Scotland. They are updated roughly every 12 years, with most activists recording new routes and amendments within the New Routes section of the Scottish Mountaineering Club Journal (published annually in August, currently £13.95). Their website www.smc.org.uk also has sporadic updates of ongoing guidebook work, including downloadable pdf’s of the previous years new routes, together with details of all their wide range of publications. The volumes covering the area covered by these two volumes are the Climbers’ Guides series.
